Eric Crighton

Eric Crighton (PhD) is a Full Professor in the Department of Geography, Environment and Geomatics at the University of Ottawa, Co-Director of the Environment, Community and Health (ECoH) Lab, and Adjunct Scientist at the Institute of Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES). He is a Health Geographer whose research is focused broadly on understanding relationships between social, economic and physical environments, and human health and well-being. He has published widely on themes including environmental and socioeconomic determinants of health, environmental disasters and psychosocial health, environmental risk perceptions and protective behaviour, and environmental health education. Working closely with an interdisciplinary team of researchers, practitioners and educators, he led the development of the PEHE Project.
